A series of photos of built stages with plaster and plastic figurines.
A 6 months trip back to Mexico City, activated an old fascination for the religious figurines we find all over the city: saints, angels and virgins made of plaster inspiring in the people spiritual real devotion. In the same street (some times the same blanket on the floor), plastic, childlike, useless, figurines.
I located them one in front of the other to find out what would the mundane and the divine tell to each other. I found out they do recognize one another from the streets... and they get a long despite the fact that the first gains spirituality while the latter looses meaning.
